Interactive CD-ROM Training Programme.
-Presented
by Dr. John O’Sullivan LL.M, FFOM a senior consultant in occupational
health with 23 year’s full time experience in industry.
-Based on Dr. O’Sullivan’s professional experience and
the Manual Handling Directive.
- Uses over 150 cartoons, a proportion of which are animated.
- Specifically designed for training each person individually.
- Allowing you to train one person at a time with minimal disruption
to team working.
- The presentation uses automatic timing. It incorporates a pause,
"go back a slide" and restart facility.
- Time taken varies from 40 to 90 minutes depending on the individual.
- Contains 8 sections, background, functions of the spine, the load,
individual capability, the task, the working environment, other
factors and summary.
- Four sections are followed by a series of questions,
the answers to which are given in the preceding section.
-When the
question is answered correctly, using the mouse, the individual
moves on to the next question and next section.
-If the person gets the answer wrong the software brings them
back to the start of that particular section.
When
the individual completes their training the software will:
-Print
a training certificate, with their name, date of birth, organisation
and date of completion of training.
- This certificate, which when signed, confirms that they have
successfully completed the interactive training in manual handling.
- Thus fulfilling a legal requirement to "inform and instruct
your employees of the hazards and risks in the workplace.
- Maintain a spreadsheet with the training details of all those
who have completed the programme, indefinitely.
Cost £2.50
per person.
Each CD-ROM has 50 individual training programmes. If one has a
significantly smaller workforce it can be used to retrain
on a three yearly cycle as recommended.
Each CD-ROM costs £125 including post and packaging to UK
addresses only.
Sold on the strict condition that it MUST only be used to train
people on an individual basis.
