Experience
I
have visited chemical plants in Europe, the USA, Canada and Taiwan.
I have been responsible for Occupational Health standards at the
ICI Wilmshaven plants in the mid eighties and have sat on various
European industry medical committees.
I
passionately believe in the concept of "Prevention through
Education and Training". I have commissioned thousands of cartoons
and a series of video’s. I and am currently working on CD
Rom based presentations. I have been invited to speak across the
UK, Ireland, Europe, North America, and the Far East. In 2001, I
developed an interactive, competence based CD ROM training programme
on Manual Handling.
I
have lectured extensively at Universities including Manchester,
Liverpool, Birmingham and University College Dublin, where I run
annual lectures and seminars. In March 1999 I lectured at the Harvard
School of Public Health
Royal Naval Reserve. 19 years experience including diving, underwater
medicine and hazardous environments.
