Understanding Occupational Health

This presentation was compiled to give new and prospective clients a good “in depth” insight into our role in providing a broad range of services directed at securing the well being of all people in the workplace by the provision of a pro-active occupational health service. This facilitates compliance with current legislation and investing in the company’s greatest asset, its people.

Many people and organisations do not have a good in-depth understanding of the role and scope of occupational health. They often perceive the role of the doctor or indeed specialist nurse at work as that of their NHS equivalents e.g. a GP or hospital/practice nurse.

We work to a vision of providing a pro-active energetic enthusiastic service with a strong emphasis on the preventative approach involving employers, their employees and their representatives. This leads to all people working together understanding and thereby reducing health risks at work.

The presentation covers all aspects of the services we provide (as illustrated on this website) and facilitates interactive debate on issues such as our interface with GP’s, management, human resources, how we handle sickness absence, stress, disability and other relevant issues including confidentiality.

Experience over more that a decade has shown the added value of having all of the people who can avail of our broad range of services understand what we do and why we do it.
