9. SUBSTANCE ABUSE AWARENESS AND TESTING
Substances which can affect health and safety at work include alcohol,
tobacco (passive smoking), prescription and over the counter medicines
and illicit drugs, or indeed any combination of these. We have developed
a to raise
awareness in this area and our staff is trained to conduct all necessary
protocols including the taking of necessary samples using proper
procedures for chain of custody etc. and to deal with the results.
We can assist in the formulation and implementation of relevant
aspects of the appropriate policies.
All our laboratory testing is performed by a leading UK supplier
Medscreen.
