Legislation
requires employers to inform their employees about hazards and associated
risks in their workplace. At Ashling, we believe in the philosophy
of prevention through education and training. In our experience people
often have a fear of health issues in the workplace.
They do not understand how their body works and how it may be affected
by noise, dusts, fumes, chemicals, repetitive movements, lifting,
etc. This lack of understanding, may lead to a false sense of security
or complacency, either of which may be counter productive. A happy,
well informed workforce are more productive.
Accordingly Dr. O’Sullivan and his team have developed a wide
range of training programmes which include video, slide, PowerPoint
and CD ROM programmes to address these issues. These programmes are
used extensively in training employees at all levels in many client
companies. They have also been presented to audiences across the UK,
Europe, North America and in the Far East.
